In the Circle of the Elders
The peaks of the distant mountains
Are painted in crimson color
In the shadow
Of the mighty giants
Tucked the low hills
Winds of Ostara throw
The snow from the trees
And carried the sound
Of far quiet singing
Voices from the mounds
Where Elders
Of our folk rest
Faces of great voivods
And beautious goddessess
Covered by a waxy pallor
Withered wreaths at their heads,
Swords and staffs at their feet
Under the ground
All entrances are sealed
To the mounds
Only custody torches
Burn in overnight,
And around them dancing
The chains of black shadows
Night carefully keeps there
The true greatness
Of the former light
In the starry bright night
When Ostara freed
From captivity
The gates are opening
Shining columns
Of the ghosts
Walking from behind the Veil
Bright ancient shields
And helmets
Old blades
Are still sharp
As were
Many ages ago
In the circle of the Elders
The gray-haired king
With icy eyes,
Hands me the relic of my folk
The old sword,
Which I take
With true reverence
Rows of noble maidens
And harsh warriors
Stood in honorable silence
Cold stream of winds
Ran from cemeteries
Ice cold breath of wraith
Enveloped my face
My vision cleared,
I'm standing alone
In the darkness and fog,
All vanished like
An obsession,
Like never been
Only woods were stained
In twilight of the dawn

Icelandic Pagan Black Metal. This is unbelievably good - seriously! I just bought the entire discography for this band & I keep coming back to every single one of their albums. They are all on another level! The instrumentals & the atmospheres are just amazing. Plus those vocals, clean or non or any other variation, are perfect each & every time! No faves & highly recommended!!! bmurator

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
